St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
One of the all time favorite Caribbean Islands has to be St.Thomas, one of three United States Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John). St. Thomas is a major port for all of the caribbean cruise lines and it is a well deserved reputation.
At Saint Thomas, you will find plenty of duty free shopping, a plethora of great caribbean restaurants and endless stretches of white sandy beaches offering a multitude of diverse things to do for beach enthusiasts, whether your idea of a perfect caribbean island beach vacation is snorkeling & scuba diving, finding a secluded beach, sitting and reading a good book, playing with a multitude of water toys or sitting under an umbrella being served food and drinks by friendly beachside waiters ... it is all here in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
Another popular reason so many travelers from the United States visit the U.S. Virgin Islands is because no passport is needed - it is a part of the United States. A thriving shipping port once ruled by the Dutch, St. Thomas has a very colorful history and there are many historical sites to visit, including areas frequented by famous pirates and privateers such as Blackbeard and Sir Francis Drake.
Other activities nearby include parasailing, wave runners, windsurfing, kayaks, full and ½ day catamaran sails, submarine rides and sunset cocktail cruises. Also available are a beautiful and challenging 18 hole golf course and world class deep sea fishing.

- K-Mart: We have two K-Marts on the island. One is located in TuTu Mall and the other near the cruise ship docks.
- Ferry to St. John - Catch this in Red Hook, departures every ½ hour (subject to change), $3.00 per person, 20 minute boat ride, well worth it! In St. John you can rent a jeep and tour the island, which has cute shops and restaurants on the waterfront and is also a National Parks Ecological Preserve with wild goats, boars and donkeys roaming the island. - Magen's Bay Beach - National Geographic named this beach as one of the “Ten Most Beautiful Beaches in the World”. Snack Bar and rentals available.
